Daily Maintenance of Vertical Impact Sand Making Machines
Vertical impact crushers, commonly referred to as sand making machines, are used for crushing and shaping hard materials. They produce uniformly sized output particles ranging from 0 to 5 mm. These machines feature a simple structure that has been optimised over the years, with improved rotors enabling large-scale production. The overall structure is made of high-strength castings and other special materials, ensuring excellent toughness, rigidity, and a long service life. The vertical impact crusher operates with intelligent control, making it suitable for use in fixed production lines or mobile station equipment, offering flexible application options.
1. During operation, ensure safe production and maintain uniform feed material. If encountering non-crushable objects or equipment malfunctions, shut down the machine for inspection. Observe the wear condition inside the sand-making machine and promptly replace or repair components as needed. Simple inspections can be conducted through the observation window, but under no circumstances should the observation window be opened during operation.
2. The vertical shaft impact crusher should have an appropriate amount of lubricating grease added every 400 hours of operation. After 2,000 hours of operation, the main shaft assembly should be opened to clean the bearings. Typically, it can operate for 7,200 hours before new bearings need to be replaced. The upper bearing of the main shaft assembly is a floating end, while the lower bearing is a fixed end. After assembly, manually rotate the pulley to ensure it rotates smoothly.
3. During operation of the sand-making machine, due to the high speed of the equipment, special attention must be paid to safety. Personnel should stay away from the equipment. If maintenance is required on the machine, it should be performed after shutdown. It is recommended to have professional maintenance personnel address the issue. Under no circumstances should core components be disassembled without the permission of the crusher equipment manufacturer.
4. The inlet size of the vertical shaft impact crusher sand-making machine should be adjusted according to the required product size. When adjusting, loosen the T-shaped discharge bolts and tension springs. Use self-tapping bolts to push into the adjustment seat, insert or remove shims of corresponding thickness, then retract the self-tapping bolts. The adjustment seat is securely fixed to the ear seat of the reversible sand-making machine under the weight of the movable jaw. Install the shim set together.
5. Adjust the preload of the spring to ensure that the thrust plate and thrust plate shim are in close contact when the vertical shaft impact crusher sand maker is operating. However, as long as there is no preload, there should not be excessive knocking sounds, and then lock the adjustment seat. A layer of metal plate should be laid on the basic mine drainage pipe, and the metal plate must have a sufficient inclination angle (determined by the flowability of the material and should not be less than 50°) to prevent obstruction of the smooth discharge of the crushed product.
Since the vertical shaft impact crusher vibrates violently during operation, the vertical shaft impact crusher sand-making machine should be installed on a concrete foundation. To reduce vibration, noise, and the impact on the foundations of nearby buildings, use hardwood pads, rubber bands, or other vibration-damping materials between the machine and the foundation.
