Some simple general knowledge of jaw crusher
Jaw crushers are widely used in various industries such as mining, smelting, highway and railroad because of their simple structure, easy operation and large crushing ratio.
1. Specifications and classification
The specification of jaw crusher is expressed by the width and length of the feed opening. For example, a jaw crusher with a feed opening width of 600 mm and a length of 900 mm is referred to as a 600 x 900 jaw crusher.
Jaw crushers are generally classified according to the width of ore feed opening, the width of ore feed opening is larger than 600mm for large jaw crusher; the width of ore feed opening is 300-600mm for medium jaw crusher; the width of ore feed opening is less than 300mm for small jaw crusher.
2.Working principle and types
When the material is added into the crushing chamber of the jaw crusher (the space composed of fixed jaw plate and movable jaw plate), the movable jaw plate swings back and forth periodically, and when the movable jaw plate is close to the fixed jaw plate, the material is crushed by extrusion, splitting and fracture. When the moving jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw plate, the material which is crushed to less than the discharge opening is discharged from the lower discharge opening according to the gravity. The material that is not completely crushed will be crushed again by squeezing, splitting and fracturing after falling to the lower part of the crushing chamber.
Although there are very many types of jaw crushers, there are only two types used in China's mineral processing plants: simple swing jaw crusher (PEJ) and complex swing jaw crusher (PEF), Pinyin P means crusher, E means jaw, F means complex swing and J means simple swing.
3. Notes on the replacement of easy-to-wear parts of jaw crushers
a. Lining plate replacement
The fixed jaw liner (tooth plate), the movable jaw liner (tooth plate) and both sides of the liner (guard plate) of the jaw crusher are most prone to wear. If the wear is serious, the product size will become bigger. When the liner plate is worn at the beginning, the liner plate can be turned around and used, or the upper and lower pieces can be turned around and used. The wear of jaw plate is mostly concentrated in the middle and lower part, when the tooth plate wears off 3/5, it needs to replace the new liner plate. When the liner plate on both sides wears off 2/5, it also needs to be replaced with a new one.
b. Shaft, eccentric shaft, shaft tile replacement
If the shaft wear is not much and you just want to repair the geometry, you can take it to the lathe for turning, but when the journal size is reduced by 5% after several turning, you are not allowed to turn it again and should replace it with a new one. Since the jaw crusher is working under impact load, the pasteurized alloy lining on the shaft tile needs to be recast after every two years. If the eccentric shaft and the shaft tile, the heart shaft and the shaft tile are worn and the top clearance is greater than 1.5 times of the original assembly clearance, they need to be adjusted with pads or replaced; if the oil groove is worn by 1.5 mm, the oil groove should be reopened and adjusted. The clearance between the connecting rod head cover and eccentric shaft, when worn to greater than 1.5 times of the assembly clearance, also needs to be gasketed and adjusted or replaced with a new one.
c.Thrust plate replacement
When the thrust plate is badly worn or the front thrust plate is broken, remove the ore in the crushing chamber, take out the badly worn or broken thrust plate, and check whether the elbow plate on the movable jaw and connecting rod is damaged. Then pull the movable jaw to the fixed jaw, lubricate the working surface of the elbow plate with dry oil, put on the new thrust plate, make contact with the working surface of the elbow plate slowly, and tighten the horizontal tie bar to make the movable jaw clamp the thrust plate. Tighten the safety cover, connect the lubrication system, and then adjust the size of the discharge opening.
