Jaw crusher is the most widely used crushing machine, its structure is simple, easy to operate, large processing capacity, durable, favored by all walks of life, but the jaw crusher because of long-term processing of hard materials, so its parts replacement is more frequent than other mining machinery. The following is a detailed description of the disassembly and replacement of jaw crushers.

 

1. Jaw Crusher Replacement Method


The most frequent repair item for a jaw crusher is the replacement of the thrust plate. To remove the thrust plate for a crusher with an integral connecting rod, the thrust plate must be removed by unscrewing the baffle screw, cutting off the dry oil lubricating oil pipe, and hanging the thrust plate from the crane lifting hook or other lifting equipment before releasing the spring at the horizontal tie rod end, resisting the moving jaw to the fixed jaw, and removing the thrust plate. If you want to take out the rear thrust plate, then the connecting rod should be pulled away from the front thrust plate and the moving jaw together to take out the rear thrust plate.


After the thrust plate is removed, cut off the thin oil lubrication pipe and cooling water pipe, and support it with bracket under the connecting rod, then remove the connecting rod cover to lift out the connecting rod.


The main shaft of jawbreaker should be taken off together with pulley and flywheel when disassembling. In the disassembly process, move the motor (together with the belt) as close as possible to the crusher along the slide, take off the v-belt, and then lift the shaft with the crane.


For the disassembly of the movable jaw, the dry oil lubricating tube must be cut off first, the tie rod must be removed, the bearing cover must be taken off, and then the movable jaw must be pulled out by a crane or other lifting equipment.

 

2. Replacement conditions of jaw crusher parts


2-1. Lining plate replacement conditions

The fixed jaw liner (tooth plate), the moving jaw liner (tooth plate), and the two side liners (guard plates) of the jaw crusher are the most susceptible to wear. Severe wear makes the product size bigger. At the initial stage of wear, the tooth plate can be turned around and used, or the upper and lower two pieces can be turned around and used. When the jaws are worn, mostly in the middle and lower part, when the tooth height is worn off 3/5, it is necessary to replace the new liner plate. When the liner plate on both sides wears off 2/5, it also needs to be replaced by new one.

 

2-2. Conditions of jawbreaker shaft, eccentric shaft and shaft tile replacement

If the shaft wears little, just to repair its geometry, it can be turned on the lathe to make the journal reach the correct geometry, and then reduce the bearing inner diameter accordingly. However, after several such treatments, if the journal size is reduced by 5% compared to the original, no more turning is allowed and the shaft should be replaced with a new one.

 

The jaw crusher is working under impact load, and the pasteurized alloy lining on the shaft tile, which works for about two years, needs to be re-cast if the period is exceeded.

 

If the eccentric shaft and the shaft tile, the mandrel and the shaft tile are worn and the top clearance is greater than 1.5 times of the original assembly clearance, they need to be adjusted with pads or replaced; if the oil groove is worn by 1.5 mm, the oil groove should be reopened and adjusted. When the clearance between the connecting rod head cover and eccentric shaft is worn to greater than 1.5 times of the assembly clearance, it also needs to be adjusted with a pad or replaced with a new one.

 

When there is a deeper spalling or larger abrasion of the pasteurized alloy on the shaft tile, it should be recast. For the quality of the processed shaft tile has the following requirements: the color of the surface of the pasteurized alloy should be uniform, no light, silvery white; the surface layer of pasteurized alloy should not have ash slag, cracks, sand holes, shrinkage, etc. and shelling phenomenon.
