Cone crushers are typically used in the second and third stages of a crushing process, processing material that has been pre-crushed by jaw crushers or gyratory crushers. Since the material processed by jaw crushers and gyratory crushers has already been limited in terms of particle size, there will be minimal oversized material. If a cone crusher is used to directly process raw stone at the user's site, the raw stone must first undergo a pre-screening process to remove oversized stones from the raw material.

Differences between single-cylinder and multi-cylinder cone crushers:

Single-cylinder cone crushers have a simpler structure, lighter equipment weight, and are easier to operate and maintain. They also feature automatic control and intelligent monitoring. However, due to their structural design characteristics, their crushed product particle size and shape are somewhat inferior to those of multi-cylinder cone crushers. Nevertheless, since single-cylinder cone crushers have a larger processing capacity, they can also achieve good product particle size requirements through closed-loop circulation.

Multi-cylinder cone crushers, with their fixed-axis design structure, generate greater crushing force, enabling true high performance. They produce better product particle size and shape, and also feature automatic control and intelligent monitoring. However, their structure is more complex than single-cylinder cone crushers, and maintenance requirements are stricter.  

Although the two types of equipment differ structurally, both are excellent crushing machine products that hold significant market shares and will coexist long-term.
