1. Concept of multi-cylinder cone crushers:  


Multi-cylinder cone crushers are hydraulic cone crushers developed through extensive research and design based on spring cone crushers. They are typical crushing equipment primarily used for medium and fine crushing of hard materials, and are widely applied in industries such as mining, construction, and metallurgy.


2. Structure of the cone crusher:


The multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher primarily consists of the following components: fixed cone section, moving cone section, eccentric sleeve section, transmission section, frame section, adjustment ring section, feed hopper section, discharge opening adjustment section, locking protection cylinder section, fan section, motor section, hydraulic station, lubrication station, and special tools section.  


3. Working principle:


The multi-cylinder cone crusher is a typical crushing equipment for medium and fine crushing of hard materials. During operation, the moving cone performs a swinging motion along the inner surface. Near the fixed cone, materials are crushed by the squeezing and bending force of the moving cone. Away from the moving cone, the crushed materials fall from the cone base due to gravity. The entire crushing and discharging process proceeds continuously along the inner surface. The locking protection cylinder assembly consists of several locking protection cylinders, an iron protection accumulator, a buffer accumulator assembly, and piping. The locking protection cylinders primarily serve to provide iron protection and clean the crushing chamber. Each pair of hydraulic cylinders is equipped with a buffer accumulator, which absorbs the impact caused by the oscillation of the adjustment ring due to a few hard materials during normal crushing operations.


4. Selection of multi-cylinder cone crusher equipment:


(1) Cone crushers are widely used for medium and fine crushing of hard materials with a particle size of 0–300 mm.


(2) The selection of crushing equipment is related to the physical properties of the ore being processed, the required crushing capacity, the particle size of the crushed product, and the equipment configuration. The physical properties of the ore include: ore hardness, density, moisture content, clay content, and maximum particle size of the material. Based on the ultimate compressive strength of the ore, it is classified into three types: difficult-to-crush ore, moderately crushable ore, and easy-to-crush ore.


(3) The maximum feed particle size for a cone crusher should be less than 85% of the feed opening width.
