Precautions for Installing Jaw Crushers

Jaw crushers, typically used for primary crushing, endure significant stress and suffer considerable wear. They are generally installed on concrete foundations. Given the crusher's substantial weight, harsh operating conditions, and the substantial inertial forces generated during operation, the foundation system experiences vibrations. These vibrations directly cause other machinery and structures to vibrate. To ensure continuous, normal operation, efficient material crushing, prevent malfunctions, and maximize equipment capacity, pay attention to these installation details and perform regular maintenance and inspections.

1. Due to substantial vibration during operation, the crusher must be mounted on a concrete foundation. To minimize vibration, noise, and impact on nearby building foundations, hardwood pads, rubber strips, or other vibration-damping materials should be placed between the crusher and the concrete foundation.

2. The discharge chute of the foundation should ideally be lined with steel plates. Prioritize material flowability by maintaining an inclination angle of no less than 50° to ensure smooth discharge of crushed products.

3. Adjust the discharge opening size according to the required product particle size. When adjusting, first loosen the bolts and release the tension spring. Use the jacking bolt to lift the adjustment seat, insert or remove shims of corresponding thickness, then retighten the jacking bolt. Adjust the spring preload to ensure the connecting plate, connecting plate pad, and shim assembly maintain close contact during machine operation.
