Working Principle:

Depending on operating conditions or the material being crushed, the P-series vertical impact crusher employs either a “stone-on-stone” or “stone-on-iron” crushing mechanism by controlling the feed method. The “stone-on-stone” approach utilizes a cascade flow distribution system, splitting the feed material into two streams at a controlled rate. One stream enters the high-speed rotating impeller cavity through the central feed pipe, while the other stream enters the equipment cavity through multiple overflow ports around the feed hopper's circumference. Material entering the rotor cavity is accelerated by the rotor's high-speed rotation and ejected through three or more discharge ports. This material collides violently with the material falling from the overflow ports in the rotor's circumferential zone, achieving stone-on-stone crushing.

“Stone-on-Iron” refers to feeding all material through the central feed pipe into the high-speed rotating impeller cavity. Accelerated by the impeller's rotation, the material is ejected through three or more discharge ports and violently impacts the metal impact plates mounted on the inner wall of the crushing chamber, achieving stone-on-iron crushing.

Structural Components:

1. Feed Hopper: The impact crusher's feed hopper typically features a tapered or cylindrical shape, directly receiving material from the feeder's storage bin.

2. Impeller: Constructed as a hollow cylinder from specialized materials, the impeller is mounted on the upper shaft head of the impact crusher's main shaft assembly. It transmits torque via a tapered sleeve and key connection, rotating at high speeds to perform a critical function within the machine. Impellers incorporating edge guard plates eliminate the need for wear-resistant coatings on the upper and lower discs. Worn components can be directly replaced, extending service life to 3-5 times that of welded coatings.

3. Drive System: Typically employs a single-motor or dual-motor belt drive mechanism, mounted on either side of the main shaft assembly.

4. Lubrication System: Lubrication points include the upper and lower bearings of the main shaft assembly. For convenient oil injection, oil cups are connected via oil lines to the machine's exterior, with periodic lubrication provided by a grease gun. Can be configured with automatic grease lubrication or oil lubrication.

5. Crushing Chamber: Primarily structured as a ring-shaped space formed by upper and lower cylindrical sections. The upper and lower end plates of the lower cylinder feature two openings: the upper connects to the upper cylinder, while the lower connects to the discharge port. Equipped with a deep-cavity impeller: offers higher throughput with reduced wear part consumption; the fully optimized chamber design ensures optimal material trajectory and discharge angle for superior crushing efficiency; comprehensive body protection extends service life.

6. Base: The vortex crushing chamber, main shaft assembly, motor, and transmission system are mounted on the base. The base features a quadrilateral space at its center for the main shaft assembly, with discharge channels formed on both sides of this space. Dual motors are installed at the longitudinal ends of the base. The base can be mounted on a support frame or directly on the foundation ground.

Wide Application:

The P Series Vertical Impact Crusher is extensively used for fine crushing and shaping of minerals and rocks in various industries, including metal and non-metal mining, refractory materials, abrasive ceramic raw materials, building materials, high-speed rail construction, water conservancy and hydropower projects, and private sand and gravel aggregate production. It demonstrates particular superiority over other equipment when processing medium-hard, ultra-hard, or abrasive materials such as sandstone, granite, basalt, silicon carbide, emulsion sand, alumina, magnesia, etc. The P Series Vertical Impact Crusher can also operate at high speeds exceeding 80 m/s for secondary crushing and shaping of coarse sand particles in the aggregate processing industry. This optimizes the gradation of finished sand, enabling a finer modulus of fineness.
