Vibrating screens are screening equipment capable of grading, dewatering, desliming, and sorting materials. By utilizing the vibration of the screen body, materials are loosened, stratified, and passed through the screen to achieve separation. They are widely used in mining, construction materials, transportation, energy, chemical, and other industries for grading, washing, dewatering, and desliming of materials. Vibrating screens are primarily categorized into linear vibrating screens, circular vibrating screens, horizontal screens, and high-frequency vibrating screens. To ensure efficient and stable operation during production, routine inspection and maintenance are crucial.

1. Feeding

Only commence feeding after the vibrating screen is operating normally.

Feed material evenly to prevent uneven motor loading.

2. Regular Inspection

Periodically check bearing temperatures. Under normal operation, bearing temperature rise should remain within 35°C, and bearing temperature must not exceed 80°C.

Regularly inspect wear on components like screen meshes. Replace immediately if damaged.

Periodically check spring compression.

Vibrator bearings use large-clearance bearings; check radial clearance before assembly.

Regularly check the grease level inside the bearings. Excessive grease may leak from gaps like shaft holes and cause operational resistance, leading to bearing overheating. Insufficient grease accelerates temperature rise and shortens bearing life.

Disassemble and clean the exciter bearings every 6 months. Remove contaminated grease and refill with fresh lubricant.

The bolts connecting the exciter to the screen box are high-strength bolts; ordinary bolts must not be substituted. Tightness must be checked frequently, at least once per month.

3. How to Perform Regular Maintenance?

Vibrating screens require regular maintenance, which must be conducted by dedicated personnel. Maintenance is categorized as follows:

Weekly Inspection: Check for loose bolts on the vibrator and all components. Inspect springs for damage. Examine the screen surface for tears or enlarged apertures, addressing any issues found.

Monthly Inspection: Inspect the screen frame structure and welds for cracks. If cracks are found on crossbeams or side plates, clean the surface and perform preheated repair welding. To prevent stress concentration, do not drill holes or weld attachments onto the screen frame without authorization.

Annual Inspection: Conduct a major overhaul of the vibrator, disassembling it completely for thorough cleaning.
