Vertical shaft crushers, also known as vertical shaft sand makers or composite crushers, are a new type of fine crushing/coarse grinding equipment developed through the optimized design of key technical parameters. They are categorized into small and large models based on output capacity. Among these, small vertical shaft crushers feature a simple and rational structure, a compact footprint, moderate output, and relatively low overall operating costs. Below, we will provide a detailed overview of this equipment. (Please note that the technical parameters and other data mentioned in this article are subject to change as the product is upgraded. Small vertical shaft crushers actually have a history spanning over a century. By integrating user needs and market conditions, their internal designs have been continuously optimized and innovated through ongoing development. They are capable of processing various medium-to-high hardness materials with low abrasiveness (such as coal, limestone, river pebbles, and glass), with an hourly output ranging from 5 to 100 tons. There are five models available, with the 800, 1000, and 1250 models being smaller in size. with a feed size of ≤100 mm and an output size of 0–10 mm. You can select the appropriate model based on the raw material, production requirements, and site conditions. For the specific parameter table of small vertical shaft crushers, please feel free to inquire at any time; our managers are available to assist with model selection and customization according to your needs.

Case Studies and Working Principle of Small Vertical Shaft Crushers

Raw Material: River Pebbles

Processing Capacity: 17–60 t/h

Equipment Configuration: Model 1250

Working Principle of the Vertical Shaft Crusher: Utilizing a “stone-on-stone” crushing method, material is fed through the top inlet and falls into the crushing chamber. It is struck by high-speed rotating hammer plates, rapidly propelled toward the impact plate, and after collision, rebounds onto the hammer plates for further impact. Simultaneously, the hammer plates agitate the material, creating significant mutual grinding action that further fines the material until it reaches the desired particle size.

Advantages of the Small Vertical Shaft Crusher:

The finished sand has uniform particle size and a cubic shape, with no fine particles and low content of needle-like or flaky particles, ensuring high quality and minimal impurities.

The impeller features self-lining for reduced wear, and combined with the long wear cycle of the roll shell, the service life is extended by 2–3 times compared to standard equipment.

No screen bars are required; materials with high silt content or moisture will not cause blockages, and the moisture content can reach approximately 8%.

An elastic adjustment mechanism is employed; non-crushable objects entering the machine are automatically discharged, preventing equipment damage.

How much does a small vertical shaft crusher cost?

Vertical shaft crushers are generally considered small-scale equipment, so their prices are typically not very high. However, prices vary depending on the model and manufacturer, so direct inquiry is recommended for the most accurate information. Among them, Henan OCP is a manufacturer that integrates R&D, production, sales, and after-sales service. With a modern testing facility in place, the quality of their equipment is guaranteed. They offer direct sales of in-stock units with no middlemen, providing more favorable wholesale prices. For specific pricing on small vertical shaft crushers, please contact a sales manager.
