Hydraulic cone crushers require proper selection and use of hydraulic oil, ensuring the cleanliness of both the oil and the hydraulic system.

Effects of Hydraulic System Contamination:

The various pumps, valves, and other components within the hydraulic system, along with the relative moving parts of the crusher, feature highly polished mating surfaces and precision-engineered clearance gaps. Some components also incorporate damping orifices and slit-type control valve openings. If contaminants enter the oil, they can clog these gaps and orifices, obstructing oil flow and disrupting the normal operation of hydraulic components. Excessive contaminants in the oil will clog the oil filter, obstruct system circulation, cause frequent safety valve activation, impair cooling, and elevate system temperature.

Solutions:

(1) Select appropriate hydraulic oil according to the cone crusher manual specifications.

(2) Use a closed oil tank and install an air filter with adequate precision at the tank inlet.

(3) During operation, prevent ingress of moisture, emulsions, dust, fibrous debris, and other mechanical contaminants.

(4) Maintain proper hydraulic oil levels. After filling system lines and components, oil volume in the crusher's reservoir must remain within specified limits.

(5) Components, piping, and the entire system must undergo thorough cleaning before commissioning.

(6) Regularly inspect hydraulic oil quality to maintain oil cleanliness.

(8) When changing hydraulic oil for the cone crusher, ensure the machine has just completed operation. Drain the oil while it is still warm to facilitate the removal of mechanical impurities and oil contaminants.
