Dolomite is a carbonate mineral belonging to the trigonal crystal system. It forms rhombohedral crystals, with crystal faces often curved into a saddle-like shape. It features a dense structure, strong water resistance, and high refractoriness. After processing, it can be used in construction materials, ceramics, glass, refractory materials, chemicals, as well as agriculture, environmental protection, and energy conservation. Here is a detailed introduction to the dolomite crushing and grinding process flow and the prices of processing equipment.

The structure of dolomite is similar to that of calcite. It includes both ferrosilicate dolomite and manganese dolomite, which typically occur as massive or granular aggregates. It is brittle, with a Mohs hardness of 3.5–4 and a specific gravity of 2.8–2.9. While there are many processing machines available on the market today, which machines are best suited for dolomite crushing and grinding? Based on its characteristics, we recommend selecting a jaw crusher and a Raymond mill. At the same time, factors such as production capacity requirements, particle size, and site conditions should be considered when designing the process flow. The following is provided for your reference. Dolomite Crushing and Grinding Process Flow:

Raw material → Jaw crusher → Bucket elevator → Electromagnetic vibrating feeder → Raymond mill → Classifier → Dust collector → Finished product;

Large chunks of material are processed by the jaw crusher to the required particle size, then transported by the elevator to the hopper. From there, the vibrating feeder feeds the material evenly, in measured quantities, and continuously into the dolomite mill for grinding. The ground powder is carried away by the airflow from the blower and classified by the classifier. Powder meeting the required fineness enters the large cyclone collector with the airflow for separation and collection, and is then discharged through the outlet pipe as the finished powder.

Jaw Crusher:

Used for primary crushing, this machine is suitable for processing large blocks of dolomite and facilitates subsequent grinding. It employs a compression crushing principle with a deep V-shaped crushing chamber to accommodate larger feed sizes. Material begins processing in the upper part of the crushing chamber, while the lower section features a larger stroke and higher crushing ratio. Unlike traditional slide-gate adjustment methods, the discharge opening is adjusted via wedges, reducing labor intensity and downtime while ensuring uniform particle size of the final product.

Raymond Mill:

Designed through updates and improvements, this mill features a compact, three-dimensional structure with a small footprint. It offers a highly integrated system, forming a complete production line from raw blocks to finished powder. Equipped with a fully automatic control system, it supports remote operation for simplicity and convenience. The main unit’s transmission system utilizes a sealed gearbox and pulleys, ensuring smooth and reliable operation. Combined with new pulse dust collection equipment, it minimizes pollution. The resulting fine powder exhibits excellent quality and uniformity, with high sorting precision and a high sieve pass rate. The finished dolomite powder ranges from approximately 0.173 to 0.044 mm, and the fineness can be adjusted according to requirements.

Regarding the price of dolomite powder processing equipment, there is significant variation depending on production capacity. This is due to differences in process design, equipment configuration, and model selection, as well as the large number of mining machinery manufacturers, which leads to price fluctuations.
