With evolving production and application demands, sand aggregate crushers are now predominantly categorized into two types: fixed crushers and mobile crushers.

As the name suggests, fixed crushers require installation and ground anchoring. They are typically employed in mining, sand and gravel aggregate industries, quarries, and screening plants to process oversized or difficult-to-crush large rocks. Based on product particle size, they can be categorized into primary crushing (typically reducing to around 100mm), secondary crushing (generally reducing to 30-100mm), tertiary crushing (usually reducing to approximately 5-30mm), and shaping (typically reducing to less than 5mm).

Primary Crusher Recommendations: Jaw crushers offer high crushing ratios, simple structures, reliable operation, intelligent control, and large feed openings, making them ideal for processing large-sized materials.

Recommended medium/fine crushers: Cone crushers/impact crushers deliver excellent finished particle size, adjustable discharge, high efficiency, and high throughput. Their products are widely used in building materials, chemical, and metallurgical industries.

Shaping equipment: OCP Heavy Industry primarily recommends vertical impact crushers and vertical composite crushers for the fine crushing and shaping stages of sand and gravel materials. The processed materials can be used in construction sand, highways, metallurgy, ceramics, and other industries.

Mobile crushers are currently categorized into track-mounted and wheel-mounted types. Their key features include flexible configuration, strong adaptability, and user-friendly operation. They can be arranged to form either “crush-then-screen” or “screen-then-crush” processes based on specific crushing requirements. Crushing and screening units can also operate independently. A drawback is that due to process costs, mobile equipment tends to be relatively expensive.

Fixed and mobile crushing equipment are the most popular options on the market. The specific choice depends on individual application needs.
