Pebbles are a byproduct of sand mining, named for their resemblance to goose eggs. This article briefly outlines the pebble sand production process and the necessary equipment.


Process Flow of the Pebble Sand-Making Production Line


The entire process flow of the pebble sand-making production line is as follows: Pebbles are uniformly fed into the jaw crusher by a vibrating feeder. The jaw crusher performs primary crushing by adjusting the distance between the moving and stationary jaws. The coarsely crushed pebbles are then conveyed by a belt conveyor to a hydraulic cone crusher. Within the crushing chamber, the distance between the moving and stationary cones of the cone crusher changes to further refine the pebbles. Subsequently, the pebbles are screened by a vibrating screen. Qualified pebbles are transported by a conveyor to a sand washer, while non-compliant ones are returned to the hydraulic cone crusher. The finely crushed pebbles are de-sanded in the sand washer, then conveyed to the sand maker for grinding. The ground pebbles are screened by a vibrating screen; non-compliant ones are returned to the sand maker for reprocessing, while compliant ones become pebble sand and gravel aggregates.


Equipment Required for Pebble Sand Production Line and Their Functions


1. Vibrating Feeder: Ensures pebbles are fed at a uniform rate to the jaw crusher, maintaining its operational efficiency and crushing quality;


2. Jaw Crusher: Performs primary crushing of pebbles;


3. Belt Conveyor: Enables continuous material transportation;


4. Cone Crusher: Performs fine crushing of pebbles. Since the particle size from the jaw crusher cannot directly enter the sand maker's crushing chamber, a hydraulic cone crusher is required to further reduce the material to a size suitable for the sand maker;


5. Sand Maker: Breaks materials into the required particle size using the stone-on-stone or stone-on-iron principle, producing pebble sand and gravel aggregates.


6. Vibrating Screen: Primarily inspects processed materials from the previous step. Non-compliant material is returned for reprocessing. By controlling the discharge particle size, it ensures the feed size meets specifications.


7. Sand Washer: Primarily removes impurities from crushed pebbles to enhance product quality.
