Maintenance of ball mill

We need to closely integrate the operation and maintenance of ball mills. Good operation can reduce the wear and tear of the machinery and increase the life of the machine. But mechanical failure is almost inevitable, and good or bad maintenance work directly affects the operation rate of ball mill and the life of the mill.

In order to shorten the downtime of the ball mill, the damaged or defective parts must be inspected and replaced in a planned manner. Therefore, an overhaul plan needs to be developed and followed on a regular and timely basis to prevent unnecessary work delays.

The contents that need to be overhauled about once a month are:

1. the need to check oil pumps, oil filters, etc., with the option of cleaning and replacing lubricants;

2. inspection, filling and tightening of bolts on various parts of the equipment;

3. checking the large and small transmission gears of the ball mill, recording the wear and tear of each inspection, replacing and repairing the worn out pinion;

4. inspecting the coupling joints and replacing elastic rubber rings and other parts;

5. inspecting and repairing the feeding pipe and discharge pipe

6. Check the feeder, power system and auxiliary equipment, etc.

Items that need to be inspected about once every 4-6 months:

1. all minor repair items;

2. inspection and replacement of feed pipe, discharge pipe and feeder;

3. repairing the large gear of transmission.

Items that need to be overhauled once every 2 - 4 years:

1. inspecting, repairing or replacing the simplified body

2. repairing and replacing ball mill feed and discharge end caps

3. repairing and replacing main bearings and large gears. etc.
