
Screening equipment commonly used in mineral processing

1. Vibrating screen

The grizzly screen is mostly used in the upper part of the raw ore bin or coarse crushing bin, as a control of the size of the raw ore, generally for horizontal installation. Strip sieve is mostly used for coarse crushing or crushing before the pre-screening, sieve hole generally should not be less than 50mm. Installed in the crusher before the strip sieve at the same time play the role of the flow trough, its inclination angle is generally 40-50 °, if the ore contains mud and water, the inclination angle can be increased by 5-10 °.
3. Arc sieve
Arc sieve is generally used for wet classification of fine-grained materials, dewatering, heavy media beneficiation of the demineralization operation. Its structure is simple, light, small footprint, no moving parts, large capacity, high separation accuracy, sieve hole is not easy to block, but the sieve product moisture is high, the sieve bar wears fast, the ore requirements uniform and requires a certain pressure effect.
4. Tumbler sieve
Tumbler screen is often used for coarse grain material screening, feeding the maximum size up to 500mm, suitable for screening large coal, limestone and shale, can also be used as a washing machine or ore feeder. Tumbler screen screening efficiency is high, sieved material over crushing less, installation height is small; but the structure is more complex, bulky, screening hard materials when the roller wear faster. Currently in metal mines are mostly replaced by heavy vibrating screen.
