With economic development, the construction of buildings, highways, railways, and other infrastructure projects continues to expand. The ever-growing demand for construction sand, coupled with the inability of natural sand to meet daily requirements, has made manufactured sand the optimal substitute for natural sand. This has driven the rapid growth of the manufactured sand industry. The typical construction sand production process includes crushing, screening, sand-making, and sand washing. Construction sand production lines can meet the production requirements for both stone materials and manufactured sand. Currently, the market price of manufactured sand shows an overall upward trend, and its market demand is also relatively high. Overall, the profit potential for manufactured sand in the market is optimistic. As manufactured sand gradually gains widespread use, the configuration of manufactured sand production lines is also increasing. I believe every potential client currently in the observation phase wants to know: How much does it cost to invest in a sand and gravel production line? Below, we systematically address this question!

Establishing a complete sand and gravel production line involves three aspects: pre-construction budget, mid-construction budget, and post-construction budget. Each stage requires varying levels of capital investment. So, how much should be invested specifically?

The mid-construction budget primarily covers equipment procurement. A sand and gravel production line typically includes five stages: feeding, coarse crushing (primary crushing), fine crushing (secondary crushing), screening, and conveying. For sand production, two additional stages—sand making and sand washing—are required, with equipment corresponding to each stage.

Equipment prices vary significantly based on output capacity, performance, manufacturer, and type. Generally, higher-capacity equipment commands higher prices, as do more advanced models. Equipment selection should align with specific operational requirements. For small-scale sand and aggregate production lines, choose equipment with comparable output capacity and source from reputable manufacturers.

1. Feeder + Jaw Crusher + Impact Crusher + Sand Maker + Vibrating Screen

Suitable for sand and gravel plants processing medium to low hardness raw materials. Its advantages include high yield rates and excellent finished product particle shape.

2. Feeder + Jaw Crusher + Cone Crusher + Sand Maker + Vibrating Screen

Suitable for sand and gravel plants processing extremely hard raw materials (e.g., granite, river pebbles). Characterized by high output, minimal equipment wear, enhanced durability, and higher market value.

3. Feeder + Jaw Crusher + Impact Crusher + Sand Maker + Vibrating Screen

Suitable for sand and gravel plants processing medium to low hardness materials (limestone, bluestone, dolomite, etc.). Its process flow is simple, occupies a smaller footprint, and the hammer crusher enables one-step shaping, resulting in low costs.

4. Transportation, Installation, and Relocation Costs: Total expenses encompassing equipment transportation, on-site installation, relocation, dismantling, and site clearance. Installation costs include foundation materials (reinforcing steel and concrete), labor fees, and crane coordination expenses.

Post-construction budget primarily covers crusher operation and maintenance (including but not limited to lubrication, repairs, upkeep, and electricity consumption), while daily quarry expenses encompass production-related utilities, employee and management wages, equipment maintenance, and replacement of wear parts.
