The principal equipment in a mature production line comprises crushers and screening machines, with auxiliary machinery including conveying equipment, washing apparatus, storage facilities, and electrical control systems.

The drive systems for combined crushing and screening units vary according to configuration: 

Self-propelled crushing stations predominantly employ a diesel engine + hydraulic power unit configuration, wherein: the main unit is directly driven by the diesel engine, while ancillary equipment such as feeders, vibrating screens, belt conveyors, and travel mechanisms are hydraulically powered, complemented by corresponding electrical control systems. 

Tyre-mounted mobile crushing plants may employ the aforementioned method or utilise diesel generator sets for power supply.

Fixed or semi-mobile combined plants, aside from employing diesel generator sets, rely on mains grid power supply.

A common characteristic of various crushers is the substantial static inertia of their moving components, resulting in high motor power ratings and significant starting currents. Internationally, soft-start systems are predominantly employed to mitigate grid impact and protect motors. Complete integrated plants comprise over a dozen motors, including voltage and current control for main motors, variable frequency speed regulation for feeders, and more. Electrical interlocking extends from temperature and pressure controls linking main motors and lubrication/hydraulic systems in individual units to sequential start-stop protocols across entire production lines – all requiring dedicated electrical control programming.
