The sand making machine serves as the primary equipment for producing artificial manufactured sand. Unlike conventional sand and gravel crushing machinery, this unit not only performs rock fragmentation but also incorporates inherent shaping capabilities. The processed fine aggregates exhibit superior quality, meeting construction sand standards. Ensuring efficient production necessitates proper installation and standardised operation. Today, we share eight operational guidelines for sand making machines.


1. Prior to start-up, verify that the vortex chamber inspection door is securely closed to prevent river pebbles from being ejected through the door, which could cause hazards.


2. Check the impeller rotation direction. Viewed from the feed inlet, the impeller should rotate counter-clockwise. If not, adjust the motor wiring.


3. The start-up sequence for the sand making machine and conveying equipment is: discharge → sand making machine → feed. The machine must start under no-load conditions and only commence feeding once stable operation is achieved. Shutdown sequence is the reverse of startup.


4. Strictly adhere to specified feed particle size requirements. Prohibit oversized river pebbles from entering the machine, as this causes impeller imbalance, excessive wear, and may block impeller passages or the central feed pipe, rendering the machine inoperable. Remove any oversized feed immediately upon detection.


5. Cease feeding immediately when discharge equipment stops, otherwise the impeller may seize and burn out the motor.


6. Maintain continuous and uniform feeding.


7. During operation, the sand-making machine must not exhibit severe vibration or abnormal noise; if detected, halt operation for inspection.


8. Lubrication: Employ dry grease lubrication using Mobil Premium Automotive Grease. Fill to 1/2–2/3 of the bearing cavity volume. Replenish with appropriate grease after each shift.


Additionally, to ensure efficient production, observe the following:


1. Schedule periodic shutdowns to prolong service life. Regular shutdowns should be conducted to inspect internal wear, particularly on vulnerable components such as the central feed pipe, cone cap, upper and lower flow channel liners of the impeller, circumferential guard plates, and wear blocks. Severely worn parts must be replaced or repaired promptly, with particular emphasis on timely replacement of vulnerable components. Crucially, replacement parts must strictly adhere to the original specifications regarding weight, model, and dimensions.


2. The bearings of sand-making equipment bear the entire load of the machine. Regular lubrication directly impacts the equipment's service life and operating speed. Therefore, regular lubrication is required, and the lubricating oil injected must be clean. Seals must be in good condition, and the lubricating oil usage standards specified in the manual must be strictly adhered to. Lubricant should be replenished appropriately after 400 operating hours. Bearings require thorough cleaning after 2000 operating hours, and must be replaced with new bearings after 7200 operating hours to ensure normal equipment function. Operators must continuously monitor all equipment components for proper operation. Should bearing oil temperature rise significantly or loud impact noises occur, the machine must be immediately shut down for inspection and rectification.
