Thrust bearing and eccentric bushing is one of the two kinds of wearing parts of cone crusher, the eccentric bushing is installed with high lead bronze bushing fixed by screws inside; the lower part is installed with large bevel gear and thrust bearing through bolts, among which the upper thrust bearing is forged steel and the lower thrust bearing is high lead bronze; in addition, the eccentric bushing is equipped with counterweight components fixed by bolts, and its inside is filled with lead and fitted with wear-resistant protection lining plate. There is a tapered eccentric hole inside the eccentric bushing, and every time the eccentric bushing rotates for a week, the body and the main shaft also follow an eccentric trajectory. The spindle bushing is held in the eccentric bore of the eccentric sleeve with packing to provide a bearing surface for the spindle. The large gear, which is press-fitted and keyed to the top of the eccentric bushing, is driven by the pinion gear on the drive shaft, and the eccentric bushing in the frame turns up with it. The entire eccentric bushing section is supported by thrust bearing plates placed on the bottom cover of the frame. This set of thrust plates or thrust bearings reduces wear on the eccentric sleeve. The tooth side clearance of the large and small gears can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the thrust bearing plate shims.

Eccentric bushing wear cause analysis:

Severe wear of the journal and eccentric section journal, excessive bending of the axis and fatigue fracture will cause wear of the eccentric shaft; crushers with plain bearings are prone to wear problems of the eccentric shaft; the contact area of the mating surface of the taper sleeve and the eccentric shaft is less than 80%, which will easily cause the taper sleeve to loosen on the eccentric shaft. Once loosened, the outer circle of the eccentric shaft and the inner hole of the taper sleeve wear at the same time.

Eccentric shaft sleeve, thrust bearing precision parts by masonry should be extra careful, first look at the eccentric sleeve installation steps are?

1. Place the appropriate thickness of the thrust bearing plate gasket on the rack bottom cover.

2. Place the copper thrust bearing plate on the thrust bearing plate gasket with a special tool, pay attention to make the lugs aligned with the card slot on the bottom cover.

3. Place the steel upper thrust bearing plate with a press-fit pin at the top against the bottom of the eccentric bushing so that the pin enters the core hole of the eccentric bushing completely. And check whether the thrust plate with convex shoulder is located in the center of the eccentric sleeve. The steel upper thrust bearing plate should be solidly connected with the eccentric sleeve by special tools, taking care that the special boom does not extend out of the lower face of the steel upper thrust bearing plate.

Precautions for installing the eccentric bushing

a. Precautions before installation

1. Install the tab firmly in the groove of the bottom cover.

2. The topmost pad of the cone crusher thrust bearing should be fixed on the eccentric shaft sleeve.

b. Precautions during installation

1. Check carefully the clearance between the eccentric shaft sleeve and the straight bushing of the cone crusher, and the upper and lower clearance between the main shaft and its sleeve.

2. Keep the clearance between the eccentric shaft sleeve and the straight bushing up and down.

3. After the eccentric bushing and the bevel gear and other components are mounted into the frame, measure the mesh clearance of the gears by pressing the lead or rotating the shaft.

The steps for checking and adjusting the tooth side and top clearance are as follows:

1. If possible the counterweight side of the large gear on the eccentric bushing should be placed directly over the pinion gear.

2. Pull the pinion gear toward the drive side with a pry bar or other means so that the pinion gear thrust end face is tightly pressed against the bearing sleeve end face on the inside of the drive shaft frame.

3. Turn the drive shaft slightly until one large gear tooth is in the plumb position.

4. Use a jack or pry bar to press the eccentric bushing toward the pinion side, eliminating the clearance between the eccentric bushing and the frame bushing, so that the large and small gears are in the closest position. Better to jack horizontally toward the pinion gear. The jack force and pry bar force are only enough to eliminate the clearance, but not to skew the eccentric bushing.

5. Keep the large gear in the above position for measurement. The clearance value should be measured in three equal places, and then take the average value. The average value should be in line with the provisions of the aforementioned.

6. Shims should be placed under the copper thrust bearing plate, plus shims will increase the tooth side clearance between gears, reduce shims will reduce the tooth side clearance between gears.
