Cone Crusher Operating Precautions

When uncrushable foreign objects pass through the crushing chamber or the machine is overloaded for any reason, the spring safety system activates, widening the discharge opening and allowing the foreign object to exit the crushing chamber. If the foreign object is stuck in the discharge opening, the clearing system can be used to further widen the discharge opening and expel the foreign object from the crushing chamber. Under the action of the spring, the discharge opening automatically resets, and the machine resumes normal operation. Three types of cone crushers are available: coarse, medium, and fine, which can be selected according to different user needs.

The ore must be fed into the center of the distribution plate. Direct feeding into the crushing chamber is prohibited to prevent overloading and uneven wear of the liners. The correct feeding conditions are: the ore is evenly distributed in the crushing chamber by the distribution plate, and the fed ore should not exceed the level of the jaw wall.

Starting under load is prohibited, as it will inevitably cause an accident. The feed size of the crusher should be ≤85% of the feed opening size; otherwise, it will lead to: reduced crusher output and damage to certain parts of the cone crusher. During operation, the pressure of the locking system and the working condition of the hydraulic station should be checked frequently, and any problems should be addressed promptly. When shutting down, the feeder must be stopped first, and the ore already in the crushing chamber must be crushed and discharged before stopping the crusher. The output of a cone crusher is related to the feeding method, feed size, discharge size, physical and mechanical properties of the ore, temperature, etc., and varies greatly. The output given by the manufacturer is an approximate throughput under specified conditions.
