As we all know, crushers come in various models and types, each with distinct performance characteristics. Depending on particle size requirements and rock hardness, different crushing equipment with varying properties must be selected. Materials can be categorized as either hard or soft. For crushing hard materials, selecting the right equipment can significantly boost production efficiency!

Among commonly available crushers, jaw crushers are typically used for primary crushing, while cone crushers and impact crushers are suitable for secondary and tertiary crushing stages. Cone crushers handle harder materials, while impact crushers process softer materials. Therefore, cone crushers are ideal for crushing highly hard rocks.

However, cone crushers themselves come in numerous models to accommodate secondary crushing of different material types. This means selecting a specific cone crusher type is necessary for various hard rock types. Below, we outline equipment selection for granite and basalt crushing operations:

1. Granite Crushing Process at 400 TPH

Granite is one of the harder materials. For a production requirement of 400 tons per hour with feed size less than 700mm, the recommended production line configuration includes: ZSW600x130 vibrating feeder, 125 jaw crusher, HPY500 cone crusher, 4YK2460 vibrating screen (2 units), and several conveyors. The primary advantages of this configuration include straightforward operation, low energy consumption during production, and excellent environmental performance.

2. Crushing Process for 800 Tons Per Hour of Basalt

Basalt is another commonly encountered hard rock. For crushing production requiring an output of 800 tons per hour, the recommended equipment configuration is as follows: Vibrating feeder, 140 jaw crusher (1 unit), HPY500S single-cylinder cone crusher (1 unit), HPY500 multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher (2 units), vibrating feeder (1 unit), circular vibrating screen (3 units), belt conveyors (10 units). The primary advantages of this production line configuration include: high automation, large capacity, and low operating costs.

Note: Equipment model names may be subject to adjustment due to ongoing R&D and production. For specific equipment parameter sheets, please consult our website customer service.

The above process describes the crushing of hard rocks like granite and basalt. It demonstrates that different materials and production capacity requirements necessitate distinct equipment selections. Only by choosing appropriate equipment can minimal wear, high output, and optimal production efficiency be ensured.
