1. Comparison of Moving Cone Suspension Methods.

In a cone crusher, the lower end of the moving cone rests on the base, while the upper end is fixed within a bushing located in the center of the upper frame beam;

In a gyratory crusher, the moving cone is suspended from the frame beam. These two methods have different advantages and disadvantages in practical applications, so the appropriate crusher should be selected based on specific conditions.

2. Differences in the Crushing Chamber

In cone crushers, the crushing chamber features a gently inclined, upright truncated cone with a parallel crushing zone at the bottom;

In gyratory crushers, the design features a steeply inclined configuration, with the moving cone positioned upright and the fixed cone as an inverted truncated cone.

These two designs have distinct advantages and disadvantages; users should select the appropriate crusher based on specific conditions.

3. Differences in Discharge Opening Adjustment Methods

In single-cylinder hydraulic cone crushers, a hydraulic cylinder drives the main shaft and moving cone to rise or descend, thereby adjusting the discharge opening;

In gyratory crushers, the width of the discharge opening is adjusted by raising or lowering the moving cone. We hope that after understanding the differences between the two, users will make a selection based on their specific needs.

4. Application Comparison

Cone crushers are suitable for crushing hard materials and are generally used for medium and fine crushing;

Gyratory crushers are also suitable for crushing hard rock but are primarily used for primary crushing. This is the difference in their applications.

5. Comparison of Dust Control Systems

Cone crushers typically use water-sealed dust control systems, while gyratory crushers generally use dry dust control systems.
