Large jaw crushers cannot produce fine material. They serve as primary crushing equipment in aggregate production lines, with standard models producing output sizes below 350mm. However, with advancements in production technology and manufacturers striving to better meet user needs, large fine jaw crushers are now available. Their structure and features are largely similar to standard jaw crushers, but they offer an output range of 18-90mm, capable of producing aggregates in various specifications such as 24mm, 13mm, and 12mm.


Fine jaw crushers can produce fine-grained materials with easily adjustable overall output particle size. Therefore, in actual production, fine jaw crushers can be selected to discharge fine materials.


Adjustment Methods for Large Jaw Crushers:


1. Shimming Adjustment


Open the adjustment seat using the jacking bolts. Insert or remove a set of shims of equal thickness between the rear thrust plate support and the rear frame wall. By increasing or decreasing the number of shim layers, the crusher's discharge opening can be reduced or enlarged. This method is convenient and quick; it is recommended if conditions permit.


2. Hydraulic Adjustment


Employ the rear thrust plate as the crusher's safety device. Hydraulic safety mechanisms for jaw crushers offer both reliability and ease of troubleshooting.


These two methods represent the most common adjustment techniques for large jaw crushers in production. While smaller jaw crushers may also utilize support shaft adjustments (e.g., using jacks), these two approaches remain the primary methods for adjusting discharge size in large jaw crushers.
