1. Shimming Adjustment

By increasing or decreasing the number of shim layers, the crusher's discharge opening can be reduced or enlarged. This method is convenient and quick; it is recommended if conditions permit.

2. Hydraulic Adjustment

Employ the rear thrust plate as the crusher's safety device. Hydraulic safety mechanisms for jaw crushers offer both reliability and ease of troubleshooting.

These two methods represent the most common adjustment techniques for large jaw crushers in production. While smaller jaw crushers may also utilize support shaft adjustments (e.g., using jacks), these two approaches remain the primary methods for adjusting discharge size in large jaw crushers.
