Can a roller crusher be used for sand production
Roller crushers are popular among small and medium-sized investors due to their compact size and low cost. Roller crushers designed for materials with low hardness and good quality can also produce sand, which is sufficient to meet the requirements of general construction projects.
How does a roller crusher produce sand?
A roller crusher can crush sand and gravel up to 5 centimetres in size into high-quality sand ranging from 0 to 5 millimetres. Unlike specialised sand-making machinery, it uses a combination crushing method rather than impact crushing, which does not cause secondary crushing, resulting in a lower crushing rate. Additionally, a wedge or shim adjustment device is installed between the two rollers to regulate the output particle size. The finished sand has a particle size of 2–10 millimetres, good particle shape, low needle and flake content, and no internal cracks. Additionally, the machine is equipped with dust-proof plates internally, ensuring good sealing performance, minimal dust pollution, low noise levels, and compliance with green production requirements. Therefore, the overall performance of the roller crusher is highly effective.
